The first faculty of VNUHCM-University of Information Technology to meet AUN–QA’s standards
VNUHCM-University of Information Technology (VNUHCM-UIT) has announced the result of AUN-Quality Assurance Program (AUN-QA).
According to the result, AUN officially certifies that the Bachelor Progam of Information Systems Engineering at VNUHCM- UTI meets AUN-QA’s standards. Information Systems Engineering (ISE) is also the first faculty of VNUHCM-UTI completing successfully this quality assessment.
M.A. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung – Associate Dean of ISE faculty said: “In November, 2016 VNUHCM-UIT welcome AUN-QA specialists team to visit and assess the actual undergraduate ISE faculty’s program quality. After the assessment, ISE faculty scored 4.2 point which means this faculty officially met AUN-QA’s standards. This is a step forward which gives ISE faculty a comprehensive look upon education progress, develops faculty’s strengths, helps acknowledging weaknesses and proposing improvement routes. In the near future, ISE faculty will focus on measurement system and analyze students study’s results and the effectiveness of training programs as well as foster co-operations to leverage training quality”.
AUN-QA Standards and Criteria Package was set up in 2004 with the aim to promote the growth of a quality assurance work and enhancement of the overall academic standards of AUN member universities and to look forwards to reaching a stage of mutual recognition of training quality and qualifications among universities in the Southeast Asian region.
