Vietnam – Thailand International scientific conference Print

More than 30 scholars, researchers from Thailand and Vietnam joined the international scientific conference "Vietnam - Thailand: Building a solid strategic partnership in the period of international integration and associate area" associated held by VNUHCM-University of Social Science and Humanities and the Cooperation Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand held in December 16th.

International Conference On “Intellectual Properties And Trading: Law And Implementary Experiences Print

On December 07th 2016, University of Economics and Laws cooperated with Ministry of Science and Technology and Indiana University (USA) held the international conference on the topic of “Intellectual Properties and Trading: Law and Practical Experiences”
The conference was attended by representatives from Ministry of Education & Training, Ministry of Justice and more than 150 scholars as well as domestic and overseas legal researchers.
Among a total of 52 articles published by the conference, 13 were presented through 4 sessions. These papers focused on the issue of intellectual properties in the Free Trade Areas (FTA) and Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
The conference also concluded and evaluated the law implementation in the field of intellectual properties in Vietnam over the past time.
As Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Tien Dung, Rector of University of Economics and Laws, stated, the conference was a chance for researchers, lecturers, policymakers as well as enterprises to access legal regulations with many perspectives; contributed to creating a legal platform for executing intellectual properties that are compatible to international engagements as well as national regulations.

Policy forum 2016: “Modernizing college education in Vietnam” Print
Workshops/ Conferences
Training Centre for Advanced Management (TCAM) held The Policy Forum 2016 in 2 days December 7th and 8th with the topic: “Modernizing College Education in Vietnam”. It was an important action of Vietnam Skills for Employment Project (VSEP) which was sponsored by Canadian Government in order to strengthen the education and vocational training system in Vietnam. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Thanh Dat, Vice President of VNUHCM attended the forum.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Minh, Co-director of the VSEP Project of Vietnam, CEO of TCAM said: “In the past two years, colleges participating in the project have made great efforts in deploying new programs, making new enrollment tactics to attracted more students and companies into education activities. We believe that the project will open a lot of interesting discussions and achieve some positive results”.

At the forum, leaders of all colleges were shared the information of opportunities and challenges of college education system in Vietnam in modernizing process. Canadian professors had introduced some experience lessons in modernizing university education in Canada and international.

Overview        
          The Second Vietnam-Japan Presidents’ Conference with the focus on “Enhancing Education and Research Cooperation between Vietnam and Japan” was organized at Kyoto University from March 12–13 (Mon-Tue), 2012. The Second Vietnam-Japan President’s Conference is a biannual event, followed the first Vietnam-Japan President’s Conference, entitled “Higher Education Cooperation: Possible Lessons and Practices Learned from Global Perspectives,” held by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training from September 17 to18, 2009 in Hanoi City, Vietnam. Over 300 participants from over fifty Japanese and over seventy Vietnamese institutions, as well as representatives from government ministries of both countries attended the conference

The 2nd ASEAN +3 Heads of International Offices’ Meeting 2011 co-organized by the ASEAN University Network and Daejeon University, Korea was held  from October 12 to 13, 2011 at Daejeon University, Korea. Head and staff of the External Relations Department  represented Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM)  attended the Conference as official delegation and spoke at the Conference on many  issues, including those  related to student exchanges among the ASEAN + 3.
