On Thursday morning, 28 May, 2009, at the Central Library, Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) had hold a seminar on “Library Management & Information Searching for Study and Research” talked by Ms. Wendy Simmons, Information Resource Officer, U.S Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand. The participants included Dr. Nguyen Duc Nghia – Vice President of VNU-HCM, representatives from Consulate General of the United States of America in Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Wendy Simmons, librarians from the Central Library as well as librarians from VNU-HCM library system.

The Fulbright Program in Vietnam of the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi begins its recruitment for qualified candidates for the 2010 Vietnamese Scholar Program. The Vietnamese Scholar Program (VSP), one of the four traditional components of the Fulbright Program in Vietnam, provides grants to Vietnamese scholars to lecture and/or research at American institutions or universities for three months up to nine months.

On November 25th, 2008, the Permanent Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Education & Training – Mr. Banh Tien Long had signed the Decision No. 62/2008/QĐ-BGDĐT to promulgate the new Regulations on Tertiary and Collegiate Admission on in service training in replace for the Decision No. 01/2001/QĐ-BGD&ĐT dated January 29th, 2001 on the admission to universities and colleges for the in service system which is the non-official system.

University of Arkansas's Walton College to Partner with Vietnamese University Print


FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas has signed a memorandum of understanding with Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, to exchange students in doctoral and master of information systems programs.

“The Walton College is very pleased to be working with the University of Information Technology at Vietnam National University,” said Moez Limayem, chair of the Walton College information systems department. “This agreement to exchange faculty and students fits in our strategy to expand our reach globally. Our collaboration will greatly benefit both universities.”
