4 Young Talents of VNUHCM Received the Golden Globe Awards 2016 Print
On December 29th, in Ha Noi, the Communist Youth Union and Ministry of Science and Technology held the Golden Globe Award of Science and Technology for the Youth for ten young talents. VNUHCM had 4 awardees this time.
In detail, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai – Lecturer of Faculty of Chemistry, Dr. Truong Hai Nhung – Vice Dean of Faculty of Biology, Pham Viet Khoi, student of Faculty of Information Technology (VNUHCM-University of Science) and Dr. Duong Trong Hai (Lecturer of VNUHCM-International University) were honored in this ceremony.
In particular, in 10 young talents were awarded this year, Pham Viet Khoi is the sole representative for outstanding students in IT, as well as the youngest owner of Golden Globe (22 years old). Pham Viet Khoi achieved many remarkable achievements such as the First Prize in International Collegiate Programming Contest for Student ACM / ICPC Vietnam in 2014; First Prize in International Collegiate Programming Contest Vietnam in Hanoi in 2015; Second prize of Vietnam Talent in 2015 for the mobile app called busmap – HCMC bus …
 
Golden Globe Award of Science and Technology for the Youth was first held in 2003. Every year, the organizers selected 10 outstanding young talents in science engineering and technology to award. This year, the awards attracted the participation of 61 individuals from five fields of Information Technology and Communications, Medical Technology, Biotechnology, Environmental Technology and Materials Technology.
