VNUHCM Students Won HCMC Communication Technology Awards

5 VNUHCM students excellently won the 8th HCMC Information and Communication Technology Awards (ICT Awards) in 2016 organized by the Department of Information and Communications coordinated with People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on November 25th.

Specifically, the category of excellent research and academic achievements was awarded to Truong Minh Bao, Nguyen Dinh Luan, Nguyen Thanh An (Ho Chi Minh City University of Science); Le Minh Tri (Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology); Huynh Thanh Thao (Ho Chi Minh City University of Information Technology).

Themed “Digital technology accompanying civilized and modern city”, the 8th HCMC Information and Communication Technology Awards attracted 73 profiles of organizations and individuals to participate in 6 categories.

The Award Council chose products which were applied well in solving urgent issues of health, transportation, environment; towards building a quality living environment; contributing to build e-government; social serving of 15 organizations and 7 individuals to award.

The Information and Communication Technology Awards was held from 2008. After 7 years, it reviewed and awarded many agencies, organizations, enterprises that had products, services and excellent achievements contributing to IT development of HCMC.

VNUHCM was the only representative of Ho Chi Minh City having students awarded this time.
