Appointing Rector of VNUHCM-University of Information Technology
In the morning in March 21st, VNU-HCM held the decision announcing ceremony of VNUHCM’s Director on the appointment of Rector of University of Information Technology (VNUHCM-UIT). Accordingly, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh holds the position of Rector of UIT in the term 2017-2022, replacing Associate Professor Duong Anh Duc.
Attending the ceremony were Prof. Nguyen Tan Phat, former President of VNUHCM; Prof. Nguyen Hoi Nghia, Prof. Duong Anh Duc, Vice President of VNUHCM; together with representatives of the management boards of member universities, leaders of functional departments of VNUHCM and VNUHCM-UIT staff, lecturers and students.
Prof. Duong Anh Duc congratulated and expressed his confidence in the leadership and dedication of Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh for the development of VNUHCM-UIT. He also praised all the staff, lecturers and UIT students for their efforts and united dedication in the past time.
“I hope that during this term, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh will continue to build and uphold the tradition of VNUHCM-UIT, making use of the achievements to expand the influence of the university”-Mr. Duc emphasized.
Regarding the task, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh thanked the trust of the Party Committee, the Presidential Board of VNUHCM, as well as the collective staff and lecturers. She said that this is both honor, opportunity and challenge.
“Taking on this task, I am worried but I do not fear. I know that I have to try my best harder to complete the best way, to make UIT a leading university in IT training of the country and in the region.” Dr. Anh asserted.
Prof. Duong Anh Duc handed over the appointment decision to Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh.
