The 11th opening ceremony of Student Festival VNUHCM
On the morning of 11/4, VNUHCM held The 11th Opening Ceremony of Student Festival at Multipurpose sport hall, VNUHCM-University of Technology. This is one of the activities in New Year Welcome 2017 – 2018 of VNUHCM.
In the opening speech, Dr Nguyen Duc Nghia – Vice Director of VNUHCM highly appreciates students festival’s activities the past few years and he wants the Festival will become a highlight activity of pushing exercising to improve students’ health.
“I believe, The 11th Student Festival VNUHCM will not only contribute in pushing frequently exercising in students’ life but also a strong push to improve physical education in all systems towards to higher education integration with other countries in the region and in the world, to enhance students’ health and help them to be confident in integration” – Dr Nguyen Duc Nghia said.
The opening ceremony of Student Festival VNUHCM has many great shows by VNUHCM students. Especially is of singer Phuong Anh idol – former student of VNUHCM-University of Economics and Law who won the bronze price in The Student Festival VNU-HCMC 2017.
The festival is a traditional playground of VNUHCM students, held 2 times each year. In 2017, it attracted nearly 1.000 athletes who are students of 9 universities member of VNUHCM. They will compete in 7 sports: male – female football, male – female volleyball, male basketball, ping-pong, badminton, chess.
