The Delegation of Pham Van Dong University Paying a Working Visit to VNU-HCM

        From September 16th to 18th  2008, the delegation of Pham Van Dong
University (PVDU) (Quang Ngai province) leaded by Dr. Pham Dang Phuoc – Rector
of PVDU paid a working visit to  VNU-HCM.

On this occasion, PVDU aimed at
discussing and coming to agreement on developing collaborative projects which
had been signed with VNU-HCM in the middle of 2008 as well as learning the
models and experience of VNU-HCM in planning- finance affairs, scientific
research affairs, student affairs, managing and organizing in cooperative training programs, educational quality assessment
affairs, operating process of library and sharing electric library resources…

In addition, the two institutions had
come to agreement on developing collaborative projects in the future:

     
VNU-HCM
trains, cultivates professional and instructs speciality for faculty teachers
nominated by PVDU;

     
VNU-HCM
and PVDU develop cooperative training programs
for undergraduates as well as graduates;

     
VNU-HCM
assists PVDU in setting up the credit training programs. 

     
VNU-HCM
invites PVDU to attend specialistic courses and scientific conferences hosted
by VNU-HCM;

     
VNU-HCM
opens electric library port in order to share resources so that faculty
teachers and students of PVDU can use (from 01/2009);

     
VNU-HCM
develops CISCO network in Quang Ngai province.

     
VNU-HCM
assists PVDU in establishing administrative system in accordance with ISO
standard (2008-2009), so as to prepare for assessing educational quality in
2009-2010;

     
VNU-HCM
assists PVDU in scientific research programs in Quang Ngai province;

     
VNU-HCM
consults PVDU about building laboratories and practice rooms;

     
PVDU’s
web is going to be linked with web of VNU-HCM and others of VNU-HCM’s member
universities;

VNU-HCM
awards 10 scholarships for the first course students of PVDU (after finishing
basic knowledge period at PVDU, they will continue their study at VNU-HCM)
