VNUHCM-International University certified MOET verification standard.
In November 17th afternoon, Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoi Nghia – Vice President of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM) awarded the Certificate of Education Quality Verification from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) to the VNUHCM-International University.
With the credit of 88.5% satisfied the criteria, especially the criteria of training activities, curriculum, students, international cooperation, organization and financial management, the International University ranked the top of the schools in the South and was the second in 12 educational institutions in the country which were recognized meeting the MOET standards.
MOET standards (including 61 criteria out of 10 standards) is the benchmark for educational institutions which was set up by Ministry of Education and Training, and evaluated by independent units whose functions is to check universities of Vietnam. Those are four Centers of Educational Quality Verification of VNU-Hanoi, VNUHCM, Da Nang University and the Association of Universities and Colleges in Vietnam.
According to Circular No. 62 dated December 28th, 2012 of Ministry of Education and Training regarding to procedures and verification cycle of education quality for universities, colleges and vocational, universities in Vietnam will register for verification following MOET standards. The schools can select the inspection unit, but the inspection unit which it is under the management.
International University was the first educational institution in the South to be carried out the MOET standard evaluation. It was expected that VNUHCM-University of Economics and Law would be evaluated according to this standard on November 22nd.
