8 graduate students and PhD candidates of VNUHCM were granted Toshiba Scholarship
On the morning of 27/10, Toshiba Corporation granted 8 scholarships with the total amount of JPY1,2 million (approximately VND241,560,000 million) to 8 graduate students and PhD candidates from VNUHCM-University of Social Sciences and Humanities and VNUHCM-University of Technology at VNUHCM headquarter.
VNUHCM-University of Social Sciences and Humanities has 3 full scholarships with the amount of JPY200,000 (approximately VND40,260,000 million/scholarship) and 1 partial scholarship with the amount of JPY100,000 (approximately VND20,130,000 million/scholarship).
Prof. Vu Hai Quan and Mr. Keitaro Shigenaka, Toshiba Corporation, granted full scholarship to Luong Thi Quynh Anh, VNUHCM-University of Technology
Prof. Vu Hai Quan, Vice President of VNUHCM, said “During the building and developing process, to train a high-quality human resource which meets regional and international standard, VNUHCM does not only rely on its internal strength but also receive the support from society and business for students. In particular, Toshiba Scholarship has contributed in training talented young generation, in high-quality human resource for the country and economic development.

Mr.Quan hoped through this scholarship, graduate students and PHD candidates of VNUHCM will always maintain their passion for research and pursuit higher educational level.
Starting from 2005, Toshiba Scholarship has supported 158 graduate students and PhD candidates of VNUHCM with the total amount of VND4 billion.
