More Than 100 Million VND For The “Mastermind Student Creativity Initiative 2018”
On April 20, VNUHCM-International University announced the “Mastermind Student Innovation Award 2018”.
This is a contest for students from all universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City to showcase their creative ideas in the fields of science – economy – society, especially the ideas for creativity and and startups. .
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thanh Phong, Rector of VNUHCM-International University, competition not only promotes creativity in students but also creates opportunities for young people to approach the real environment through business plans, improve project management skills, use capital and persuade investors.
“This is an opportunity for students to express their creative ideas in technology, culture, society and business. The contest is expected to bring out individuals who have extremely bold ideas with high feasibility to create meaningful products for the community. ” Prof. Phong said.
The competition takes place in three rounds from 2/5 to 26/7/2018. Organizers receive the round 1 test from May 2 to June 1, 2018.
Groups of 3-5 students or individuals are to construct projects that apply to one or different collateral areas. Candidates can take both individual and group exams, however those ideas must be different. Each team and individual participant is to submit at most one idea.
The competition will have two prizes awarded by VNUHCM-International University and awarded by businesses. The total award is more than 100 million VND.
Potential projects that win high prizes in the final rounds will be introduced at the Technology Incubator and Startup Center at VNUHCM-International University and have the opportunity to receive initial funding from enterprises for implementation.
