VNUHCM-USSH Hosts Literature, Poem and Music Composition Contest
On the occasion of 60th anniversary of establishment and development (1957 – 2017), VNUHCM-USSH will host a competition of literature, poetics, music composition along with collecting historical documents and exhibits, namely “A 60-Year-Journey – in memory of University of Letters – University of Ho Chi Minh City – University of Social Sciences and Humanities”.

The competition is open for all current and former staff, lecturers and students of VNUHCM-USSH. The competition submissions inclusively convey stories and memories of “University of Letters, University of Ho Chi Minh City and VNUHCM-USSH”.
For new composition, each contestant can submit 2 literature essays (memoirs, reminiscences, notes, etc; each essay should not exceed 3,000 words); 2 poems (maximum 50 sentences); 2 songs (concise, short and sweet, written in Vietnamese).
For documents and exhibits collection, contestants can submit by referring or contributing photos, paintings, publications, scientific works, documentary films, remembrances, etc. (number of submissions is not limited) relevant to the university’s activities.
Each category of competition has 4 prizes, including 1 First Prize (5,000,000đ); 1 Runner-up Prize (4,000,000đ); 5 Third Prizes (3,000,000đ); 10 Consolation Prizes (500,000đ)
After the competition, the well-ranked works, documents, and collections will be published in the university’s yearbook and exhibited at the USSH’s Culture House.
